What Is Fashion?
Fashion is a broad category of individual dressing and self-expression in a given situation and at a given time, with regard to attire, footwear, fashion accessories, cosmetics, hairstyles, body language, and attitude. From a broad perspective, the word literally means a style defined by the fashion business as what is trendy at that time. It is an ever-evolving concept. In some areas, it refers to certain styles or fashions that are deemed fashionable for a short period of time. In other areas, it refers to the whole outfits or styles that are considered fashionable for a longer period of time.
Fashion designers typically create fashion wear through developing prototypes and concepts. This helps them create unique clothes, one which is not available anywhere else. Some of the elements that make up couture fashion wear include: quality fabrics, distinctive designs, state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, and innovation. These elements create clothes that express unique personalities, which reflect good taste and sophistication.
With the exception of countries such as China, India, and Japan, all major global fashion brands now have a significant presence in countries around the world. Many major fashion houses produce and export their products. Some of the most popular names in fashion include Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo, D&G, Celine, Balmain, Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Prada, and Versace. Celebrities who are increasingly involved in the fashion world include Paris Hilton, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Jessica Simpson, Taralyn Johnson, Rosario Dawson, Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez, and Tiffany Cyrus.
